Lloyd H. Griffith

Lloyd H. Griffith, of Washington went to be with the Lord at the age of 92 on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Lloyd was born on April 24, 1926 in Peoria the son of the late Leslie H. and Katherine S. Tjarks Griffith.  He married Lois C. Eiben on September 10, 1955 in Kewanee, IL.  She preceded him in death on May 25, 2018. One brother Clifford, one sister Vera Smith and one granddaughter Lindsey Hambleton also preceded him in death.

Surviving are two daughters Teresa (Gerald) Hambleton of Eureka, IL and Lori Abreu of Miami, FL. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren Aaron (Tiffani) Hambleton, Brian (Kara) Hambleton, Krista (Nathan) Judy, Steven Wisby, Tyler (Marianna) Wisby and Benjamin Abreu Jr. along with 9 great grandchildren.

Lloyd was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Always willing to lend a help hand. He was a proud WWII Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific.  He retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co.  Lloyd was of the Lutheran faith.

Private graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.  Pastor Joseph Burns will officiate.  There will be no visitation.
