Kenneth "Kenny" C. Huser

Kenneth C. “Kenny” Huser, 81, of Metamora, IL passed away at 7:13 pm on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at his home surrounded by family.  He was born on July 4, 1937 in Peoria, IL to Carl Ezra and Maxine R. (Spaulding) Huser.  He married Virginia L. “Ginny” Schneider on October 11, 1957 in Peoria, IL.  She passed away on March 16, 2015.

Surviving are six children Doug Huser and Scott (Janet) Huser both of Metamora, Greg (Susan) Huser of Washington, Tammy (Scott) Blanchard of LowPoint, Lori Huser of Cazenovia, and Eric (Amanda) Huser of Metamora; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and siblings Virginia Withers, Debi (Gary) Marshall, and Carl (Val) Huser, Jr.  He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Sarah Blanchard.

Kenny was a farmer and retired as an operating engineer for N.E. Finch Company.  After retirement he continued farming and spent most of his days on the backhoe working on the farm.  He also served as road commissioner for Metamora Township for 20 years.  He worked hard to provide for his family.  Everyone who knew him described him as a hard worker and knew of his faith as he earnestly looked forward to the day when he would join his Lord and Savior Jesus in heaven.  He is happily home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with Reverend Rod Schertz officiating.  Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Sunday, November 25, 2018 and also one hour prior to his service on Monday both at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to New Hope Community Church, 510 Woodland Knolls Road, Germantown Hills, IL 61548.  Online condolences at www.masonfuneralhomes.com.
