Joe V. Jones, 67, of Metamora, most beloved son, brother, uncle and cousin passed away at 10:39AM Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria.

Joe was born on January 30, 1951 in Jackson, TN the son of Elvis and Mildred Durham Jones Sr.

Surviving are his mother of Metamora, three brothers Elvis (Carolyn) Jones Jr. of Jackson, TN David Jones of Metamora, and Gregory Jones of East Peoria; two sisters Julia (Joe) Krumholz of Germantown and Jennifer (Russ) King of Metamora. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. His father and one brother Timmy Jones Sr. preceded him in death.

Joe was an U.S. Navy Veteran. He worked at Metamora High School for several years retiring in 2012. An avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, he enjoyed spending time with his family and will be missed by all who knew him.
