Jamie A. Lotz

Jamie Addison Lotz, 65, of Metamora, IL passed away at 6:21 pm on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Unity Point Health-Methodist in Peoria, IL. He was born on January 21, 1953 in Peoria, IL to Jack and Geraldine (Boales) Lotz. He married Pamela G. Rubel on April 24, 1976 in Spring Bay, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are his daughter Addison (Derek) Schluter and son Jeremiah (Abby) Lotz both of Metamora; grandchildren Skylar Dean, Hannah, and Aivah Lotz; siblings Jan (Dean) Swanson of East Peoria and Rick (Sallie) Lotz of Metamora; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jamie worked as an ironworker for 35 years, retiring on January 1, 2007. He was a member of Ironworkers Local 112. Jamie loved boating and tinkering in his shop. He could fix anything and was the busiest guy with nothing to do. He cherished his family and his world revolved around his grandchildren.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel with Reverend Steve Weber officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, April 27, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial of ashes will be in Spring Bay Cemetery in Spring Bay.
