It is with great sadness that the family of Georgia Suzanne Zaeske announces her dignified passing on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at 69 years of age. Georgia was surrounded by her most important legacy, her loving family, at the time of her passing.
She graduated from Morton West High School in Berwyn, IL in 1966 and received a BA in Communications from Bradley University in Peoria, IL in 1997. Georgia had been an administrative assistant for Bradley University until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gregory and Tina (Longson) Phillips.
She is survived by husband Ronald Zaeske of Metamora; sons Scott (Keary) Zaeske of Castle Rock, CO and Bryan Zaeske of Metamora; daughter Jennifer (Zaeske) Pickle of Apopka, FL; eight grandchildren Seth, Grant, and Claire Zaeske and Garrett, Kaleb, Preston, Audrey, and Sydney Pickle; sisters Carolyn (James) Jones of Springfield, IL and Jeanne (William) vonRentzell of LaGrange Park, IL; and cousin James Longson of New York, NY.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 601 South Central Avenue, Chicago, IL with Reverend Father Timothy Bakakos officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Mason Funeral Home Germantown Hills Chapel, Germantown Hills, IL. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, IL.
