Lee and Be (as they were known to friends) enjoyed historical sites and traveled extensively throughout the states and abroad.    Using her skills with stained glass, “Bee” was instrumental in the installation of stain glass windows at the Fairfield Glade Community Church in Tennessee.  She would also talk compassionately in length about traveling with her church to Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina.  Always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need, she was awarded the 2008 Cumberland County Senior Volunteer of the Year Honor.
