Babgen “Norik” Minasian, 72, of Peoria, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 surrounded by family at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL.
Norik was born on June 1, 1946 in Tehran, Iran, to Abedis and the late Kenarik Minasian. He married Armnouet “Armik” Elyasi on August 2, 1972. She survives.
Also surviving are his two sons; Zareh (Michelle) Minasian of East Peoria, IL and Pat (Annette) Minasian of Washington, IL.; six grandchildren Serenah, Caleb, Jacob, Sofia, Nathan, and Ella; brother Vari (Janet) Minassian of Morton, IL.; three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. His mother and one brother Masis Minasian preceded him in death.
Norik was a Land Surveyor and Civil Engineer working for Clark Engineering and Environmental Science & Engineering INC in Peoria, IL. In his retirement, Norik enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears with his sons, woodworking in his workshop, and spending time with his grandchildren. Norik’s most rewarding part of his life was bringing joy and laughter to his friends and family.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be 7:00 pm Friday, February 15, 2019 at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington.
